BE Magical

I am so incredibly glad that I got this kit! The colours, especially Magical (the purple) are amazing ... seriously some of my happiest BE colours in a long time! Love love love them!

That said ... I feel like I have been run over by a truck and I have no voice ... at all ... and no sub lesson plans tomorrow so it looks like I will finish out teaching for the week at a complete whisper. So please excuse the expression of exhaustion on my face ... and the flaky lips (damn decongestants!)

Enjoy!

  6. If you're smart, you've already gone to bed. But, just in case you happen to see this, tomorrow is a perfect day to allow the kids to sing all their favorite songs dating to the beginning of school. Charge up the iPod and let 'em sing all the ones that make them happy! Choose three or four "leaders" for each class to help the little ones find their way along the charts. If you need something else to extend the lesson, divide your textbooks into four to six piles of six books each. Place a box of crayons at each pile along with a piece of clean white paper. Have every child draw a picture that identifies his favorite song and tells why he likes it. These two activities cover multiple TAKS and can get you by for a couple of days with no voice. Good luck!

Thanks for the great classroom suggestions Martha ... we did a lot of stuff like that, but more along the lines of instrument bingo.
