BE Free

The first time I tried this look it was SO awful that I wiped it off immediately ... I can count the number of times that I have had to do that on one hand, so it was REALLY bad! So, needless to say, this morning I was rather hesitant to try it again ... but I think it worked out really well. I have always loved Fire Opal ... and this look makes me love it even more.

basic face routine (sub. EDM Flat Top brush for foundation and EDM Kabuki for CS)
Papaya blush; used Tapered Blush brush

NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Lemon lash to just about crease; blend with fingers
UD 24/7 eye pencil in Lucky along lower lashline; smudged with Sephora #4 sponge applicator
Lemonade dry on browbone and around entire eye area; used Flathead Shadow brush
Mojito dry in crease, lining lower lashline, and on outer third of lid; used double ended Shaping Eye brush and Wet/Dry brush
Fire Opal dry on inner two thirds of lid, wrapped around inner corner and swept up into crease; used Wet/Dry brush
Chanel Exceptionnel de Chanel Intense Volume and Curl mascara in Smoky Noir

Lacey Buxom lip polish
MAC Impassioned amplified creme lipstick

Questions? Comments? Please feel free to post ... and thanks for looking!

And just in case you were curious about the hair
(taken in the reflection of the mirror ... hence the haze!)

And ... my new Kenneth Jay Lane Wild Rose ring from QVC ... LOVE IT!

  1. You just can't show the hair without telling us how you did it!!!!!!

  2. Using Lemonade w/ this kit was inspired! I love it! Gorgeous, this is one of my favorite looks from you. Colorful enough to be fun but still wearable for work (for me).

  3. Honestly Lisa ... there wasn't much inspiration to it! I started to use Queen Phyllis with it, but decided that it was too creamy so I grabbed Lemonade and it worked perfectly. So glad this one turned out wearable enough for you to use. I LOVE Fire Opal!

As for the hair ... it is pretty simple. I just brushed my hair back in a ponytail, used one of those Scunci bun snap thingys (like the snap bracelets that were so popular when I was a kid), just rolled it to about halfway leaving alot of my curls out. Then I just snapped it into a roll, and fanned the hair out around it. Took about two minutes! So glad you like it!

  4. I like how the colors coordinate with the top you're wearing. Love the hair--and the ring!

  5. Ahhh, so that's how you use Majito. Another fabulous combo - love it!

  6. I was browsing through some of your older posts and saw this one. It's amazing and has inspired me to try Fire Opal again. Your application is phenomenal in every way!!

Please be nice (that doesn't mean you have to like the look ... just be nice about not liking it!) ... no one likes a troll ;)
