Back to Basics

Sometimes you just want to go back in time ... and for me (of course) that has to do with my makeup. I absolutely adore that simple retro pinup look that was so popular in the 1940s. It makes me think of family members of that generation that I have known and loved ... and of course of the classic matte red lip. I love this look ... and sometimes feel that it suits me well!

This one is really simple, and is a copy of a look out of Kevyn Aucoin's "Face Forward" book. I HIGHLY recommend ANY of his books for inspiration and technique ... it is where I learned EVERYTHING about makeup. And I love his philosophies.

Enjoy!
