Current Skin-Care routine

OK, so this is gonna seem REALLY extreme ... and I guess it is ... but in case you haven't noticed from the latest tutorials my skin texture has gone to crap lately. So I have been trying this. At first it was helping, but now it is not ... so this will change soon ... but I just wanted everyone to know what I do daily so that you know what I am working with.

Morning
1. cleanse with Clarisonic and Garneir Nutri-Pure Gel Cleanser/RM Cleanser mix
2. Neutrogena Astringent with cotton pads (2% Benzoyl Peroxide; avoid eyes)
3. PC 8% AHA Exfoliating Gel (glycolic acid)
4. PC Blemish Treatment (5% benzoyl peroxide; avoid eyes)
5. Garnier Skin Renew moisturizer/sunscreen (Vitamin C; avoid eyes)
6. Na-PCA spray over entire face
7. Olay Definity Eye Illuminator (eyes only)

Evening
1. PC Exfoliating Treatment (lips only)
2. cleanse with Garnier Nutri Pure gel exfoliating cleanser
3. Neutrogena Astringent with cotton pads (2% Benxoyl Peroxide; avoid eyes)
4. PC 2% BHA Exfoliating Gel (salicylic acid)
5. PC Blemish Treatment (5% benzoyl peroxide; avoid eyes)
6. Burt’s Bee’s Radiance Night Crème (royal jelly; avoid eyes)
7. Burt’s Bee’s Radiance Eye Crème (royal jelly; eyes only)
8. RM Blemish Therapy Treatment (spot treat)
9. PC Lip & Body Treatment balm (lips only)

Weekly Treatment
Sunday: PC Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment mask; use in Evening routine; cleanse before and afterwards (repeat step 2)
Wednesday: PC Skin Balancing Carbon Mask applied with masking brush; use in Evening routine; cleanse before and afterwards (repeat step 2)

Feel free to comment and make suggestions ... my face is not being hurt by it no matter how extreme it sounds, but since it isn't working if anyone has good suggestion (I tried the all PC regimen, and it did nothing for me so I think I need a mix of brands) I am completely open to them. Thanks everyone!

  1. Hi Erin,

Have you recently begun using Garnier products on your face? My daughter developed an allergic reaction to them that looked just like a serious acne break out. We were able to pinpoint the Garnier products because the hair products also made her scalp break out at the same time. HTH

  2. I have noticed that my pores are more clogged since using them ... but I am not sure if that is the product or the new humid summers since I used to West Texas dry summers.

I love the way they make my skin feel and the smell, but I won't be repurchasing them. What did she switch to? Anything that works for her?

  3. I don't remember. I'll go check her stash in a little while. I may have put her on an Arbonne mask and Clnique toner and oil free moisturizer.

Have you used Arbonne skin care products? They are incredibly good, however they are exhorbitantly expensive. I don't care for their make-up at all, but the skin care products are probably the best I have ever used.

  4. I haven't tried their skincare stuff ... although I have some of it that I won in a raffle ... just never gotten around to using it though!

I do LOVE their Ginger Citrus body butter and body scrub. That stuff is amazing ... gonna have to break out the skincare stuff now. ;)

  5. You are right on the money with the Ginger Citrus products. I LOVE that scent.

Do check out the Arbonne products to see if they help. My skin feels clean and soft when I use them, and it also calms down any irritation I might be experiencing.

By the way, love, love, love your new blog.

  6. i recommend MARIO BADUSCU.com products, for you id say the foaming glycolic cleanser, Special C toner,or the alpha grapefruit toner daily, and the Drying cream at night, and the drying mask every two days or so until healed. you can use a bit of the mask as a spot treatment, its all natural stuff, stay away from all the creams your using. your young, they are not helping any future wrinkles and they are clogging your pores.(p.s.keep an ectra bottle of tonner in the fridge, its a great treat for the skin!, good luck, sue :o)

  7. Thank you so much for these recommendations Sue! I just placed an order for the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser, the Special C toner, and the Acne Repair kit that contains the Drying Lotion, Drying Mask and the Buffering Lotion.

I found a 15% off code at retailmenot.com (code: lotion) so including shipping it was about $72!

I have heard good reviews about these and will let you know how it goes. Thanks SO much for your feedback!
