Garden Party

This whole look was done in a BIG hurry ... gotta love it when you start your whole week out by waking up late (grrrrrrr!). So anyways ... the point of me telling you that is just that the colour placement is not all that creative.

I still love the colours and the combo of them together (GF Kathleen ... where have you been all my life?!?!?) but given more time I would have put them together differently.

And I love new Diamond Buxoms ... sparkle is so my thing. And Aubergine blush is great too (thank you Lisa!) ... so the combo all together is a real keeper.

Enjoy!

Face:
basic face routine
Aubergine blush; used Tapered Blush brush

Eyes:
MAC Metal-X Cream Shadow in Virgin Silver over entire eye area; used fingers

Lemonade dry on browbone and around entire eye area; used Flathead Shadow brush
Girlfriend Kathleen dry in crease, lining outer half of lower lashline, and dry on outer half of lid; used double ended Shaping Eye brush and Wet/Dry brush
Lemonade dry on inner half of lid, wrapped around inner corner and swept up into crease; used Wet/Dry brush
Lancome Cils Booster XL mascara primer
Lancome Oscillation mascara in black

  3. So glad you approve of my use of Aubergine Lisa ... wouldn't have happened without you ;)

I tried taking a close up of the ips and the colour was just not great in the pics. I can say though that the formulation of the diamond Buxoms is REALLY exfoliating. My lips were baby smooth by the end of the day for some strange reason!

  4. I'm so loving my diamond buxoms....so much that I haven't been using any other lip colors!
This is pretty and now I need to drag out that blush....it's around here somewhere!

  5. I love the looks you put together! I am wondering why you use MAC Virgin Silver so often as a base. What effect does it have on the colors you use? How does the effect compare to Beige-ing?

  6. Honestly ... it isn't as good of a base as the shadestick ... but I have been using it alot lately because it takes me about half the time to get it on and how I want it than the shadestick does.

They colours aren't as foiled-ish or last as long with it, but it does it's job for the sake of the tutorials. The shadesticks make a better base ... but also a slower one!

Thanks so much for stopping by ... and please keep posting! So nice to see friends around!
